The price is fixed and agreed before you travel: it is for the whole vehicle, not per person.
The quickest way from Samarkand into Tajikistan. The Jartepa border post is about 40 km from Samarkand, a drive of 1–1.5 hours, and Panjakent is just over the border on the Tajik side.
Your driver collects you from your hotel and drops you at the Uzbek border post. You cross on foot, with your bags; allow about an hour for both sides. Carry your passport and, if you need one, your Tajik e-visa printed out.
Going on to Dushanbe or the mountains? Book Panjakent → Dushanbe or Panjakent → Seven Lakes and a driver will be waiting on the Tajik side.
What the price includes
Air-conditioned cars with English or Russian speaking drivers. Prices are for the whole vehicle, not per person, and include fuel, tolls and waiting time.
