Coming back from Tajikistan: cross the border at Sarazm and Jartepa on foot, and your driver is waiting on the Uzbek side to take you to your hotel in Samarkand, 1–1.5 hours away.

Give us the time you expect to reach the border. Allow about an hour for the crossing; if it takes longer, the driver waits.

If you were given a migration card when you entered Tajikistan, keep it with your passport: you may be asked for it when you leave.
