The price is fixed and agreed before you travel: it is for the whole vehicle, not per person.
The gateway to the Pamirs. Khorog is about 550 km from Dushanbe, and most of the way runs along the Panj river with Afghanistan on the far bank. On the southern road through Kulob and Kalaikhumb, open all year, the drive takes 12–16 hours. This route is driven in a 4×4 only.
We leave early in the morning, around 06:00, with stops for meals and photographs. If you would rather not do it in one day, ask us about a night in Kalaikhumb.
You need a GBAO permit to enter the Pamirs. You can add it when you apply for the Tajik e-visa; if you do not have one, message us before you book. Carry your passport: there are checkpoints on the road.
What the price includes
Air-conditioned cars with English or Russian speaking drivers. Prices are for the whole vehicle, not per person, and include fuel, tolls and waiting time.
