The price is fixed and agreed before you travel: it is for the whole vehicle, not per person.
About 300 km on the main highway through the Hungry Steppe and Jizzakh, so the drive takes 4–6 hours with stops. The fast Afrosiyob train is quicker, but a car makes sense when the trains are sold out, when you travel with a lot of luggage or small children, or when you want to leave at a time that suits you.
Your driver collects you from your hotel or from Tashkent airport and drops you at the door of your hotel in Samarkand. A good stop on the way is Jizzakh, famous across Uzbekistan for its samsa.
Arriving on a morning flight? Many travellers go straight from the airport to Samarkand: give us your flight number and the driver waits in the arrivals hall.
What the price includes
Air-conditioned cars with English or Russian speaking drivers. Prices are for the whole vehicle, not per person, and include fuel, tolls and waiting time.
