The price is fixed and agreed before you travel: it is for the whole vehicle, not per person.
The road from Tashkent to Osh in Kyrgyzstan, where many Pamir Highway trips begin. Your driver collects you from your hotel in Tashkent, crosses the Kamchik Pass, at about 2,270 m, into the Fergana Valley and drops you at the Dostuk border post beyond Andijan. The drive takes 6–7 hours with a lunch stop.
You cross the border on foot, with your bags; it usually takes between 30 minutes and 2 hours. Osh city centre is only about 8 km from the Kyrgyz side. Starting one of our Pamir tours in Osh? Tell us and we will have a car waiting on the Kyrgyz side too.
The border is open around the clock but can be slow first thing in the morning. Do not bring a drone: they are not allowed into Uzbekistan and are checked at this crossing.
