Charvak, a turquoise reservoir in the foothills of the Chatkal mountains, is where Tashkent goes to swim and cool down in summer. The drive takes about 1.5–2 hours. Your driver collects you from your hotel and drops you at your resort or hotel on the lake.
On the way you can stop at a viewpoint over the dam. The ski resorts of Amirsoy and Chimgan are on the same road, so a combined day is easy to arrange.
