The price is fixed and agreed before you travel: it is for the whole vehicle, not per person.
A night in a yurt camp in the Kyzylkum desert, near Lake Aydarkul, is one of the most memorable things to add to a Silk Road trip. The drive from Samarkand is about 270 km and takes 4–5 hours, with a stop in Nurata, at the holy spring and the ruins of a fortress said to go back to Alexander the Great.
Tell us the name of your camp when you book. Camel rides, dinner by the fire and the walk to the lake are arranged by the camp, not included in the transfer.
Most travellers go on to Bukhara the next day: book Aydarkul yurt camp → Samarkand for the way back, or message us for the drive on to Bukhara, which takes about as long.
What the price includes
Air-conditioned cars with English or Russian speaking drivers. Prices are for the whole vehicle, not per person, and include fuel, tolls and waiting time.
