The price is fixed and agreed before you travel: it is for the whole vehicle, not per person.
The high Pamirs: from Khorog the Pamir Highway climbs along the Gunt valley and over the Koi-Tezek Pass, at about 4,270 m, onto the high plateau, past the turn-off for the lakes of Bulunkul and Yashilkul, to Murghab at 3,600 m. It is about 320 km and takes 7–9 hours with stops. This route is driven in a 4×4 only.
You need a GBAO permit for the Pamirs. You can add it when you apply for the Tajik e-visa; if you do not have one, message us before you book. Carry your passport: there are checkpoints on the road.
The altitude rises quickly. Drink plenty of water, and tell us if you would rather break the journey for a night by the lakes.
